Gourmet Wedding Cake Flavors



Banana Cream Nut:

Guess what?  If you don't put real bananas in a cake, it's not a banana cake.  We put three bananas in every batch.  We add lots of butter, cream and walnuts.  The taste is reminiscent of gramma's banana nut bread.  I have a friend who says, "It's like banana pudding on it's side!"


Coconut Cream Dream:

A lot of people say that they don't like coconut.  I've found that it's the texture that puts people off.  We use very finely ground coconut along with coconut milk to produce a cake that makes your mouth sing.


White Chocolate Truffle Cake:

Creamy butter Cake loaded with melted "Lindor" white chocolate truffles. 


Strawberry White Chocolate Cake:

A non-traditional strawberry cake, made with all natural fresh pureed strawberries and filled with little piece of Lindt Swiss white chocolate.


Caramel Butterscotch Cake:

A double dose of creamy caramel and butterscotch but light as a feather. This cake takes your taste buds back to the days of old.


Lemon Chiffon Cake:

Lemon cream and butter, this cake melts in your mouth like Lemon Meringue Pie! 


Orange Cream Cake:

Reminiscent of "Orange Creamsicles," this cakes is the citrus lovers delight filled with "Ghirardelli" white chocolate candy. Of course we didn’t have the famous Chocolatier’s handiwork in our popsicles. "


Mocha Frappuccino Cake:

For the specialty coffee lover, this cake is chocolate with "Ghirardelli" expresso chocolate and Swiss mocha cappuccino coffee blended in. 


Chocolate Orange Truffle Cake:

This chocolate cake is made with "Lindt" chocolate orange candy truffles.


"Andes" Chocolate Buttermint Cake:

Rich dark chocolate cake infused with of "Andes Creme de Menthe" chocolates.


Chocolate Truffle Cake:

For the chocolate lover–dark, rich chocolate cake with "Lindor" chocolate truffles by "Lindt melted throughout ." If brownies are your favorite, this might be the cake for you.


Chocolate Toffee Cake:

Chocolate cake filled with crumbled pieces of "Ghirardelli" chocolate English toffee–in other words, fancy "Heath" bar.


Buttermilk Spice Cake:

We combine molasses, cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, brown sugar and buttermilk to make this cake a melt in your mouth pleasure.


Almond White Chocolate Cake:

Creamy white chocolate mousse batter loaded with ground almonds. It’s moist, it’s light, it’s almost too good to be true.

 

Anise Butter Cake:

Anise, a Mediterranean extract, often flavors Italian Biscotti Cookies. For an "old world" flavor of an Italian bakery in Venice, New York or Boston, try this one! 


Red Velvet Cake:

From the Waldorf Astoria’s original recipe, nothing makes an impact like the chocolate flavor of this deep, dark Red Velvet Cake.


Hazelnut Milk Chocolate Cake: 

We start with a milk chocolate batter made with real cocoa and add ground hazelnuts, hazelnut oil  and a couple of secret ingredients and mmmmm it's melt in your mouth delicious.


Key West Margaritaville Cake: 

A little bit key lime pie and a little bit margarita and you've got a fresh tangy cake that's perfect for any time of the year, but it tastes like Cinco de Mayo!

 

Raspberry White Chocolate Cake:                    

Made with all natural fresh pureed raspberries and filled with little piece of Lindt Swiss white chocolate.



 

Fillings & Frostings



Italian Grand Buttercream Icing:

"Not all buttercreams are ‘created’ equal." Each and every batch is made from scratch with fresh eggs, secret recipe hot syrup, unsalted fresh butter, flavors and extracts. No fillers, no powdered sugar and NO shortening.


Chocolate Ganache:

Noted as the groom’s favorite, this icing is semi-sweet "Ghirardelli" chocolate and cream poured over or spread warm over the cake.

 

White Chocolate Ganache:

This icing is "Ghirardelli" white chocolate and cream poured or spread over the cake. This is a wonderful, extravagant alternative to fondant. It can also be molded and formed over the cake.


Fondant:

The smooth outer layer of icing that is rolled thin and layered over buttercream icing.


Caramel Icing:

This recipe is an old family recipe taken from a cookbook that my grandmother gave my mother. But, of course, we put a 21sttwist on it to make it even better.


Cream Cheese Frosting:

Made from sugar, cream, milk and butter.


Buttercream Fillings:

Our fillings start with Italian Grand Buttercream Icing and are mixed with the following preserves, liquors, extracts or fresh fruits to make the creamiest, richest filling you’ve ever tasted. (They are: Raspberry, Lemon, Chocolate, Kahlula, Boysenberry, Orange Marmalade, Mocha, Strawberry, Amaretto or just about anything you could dream of.)
